2005 FIELD SEASON
We began excavations during the second field season and focused on one complex from the Southern Pediment. This part of the site was home to a dense occupation of lower, middle, and upper class families. They lived together in large residential complexes with up to 100 rooms including kitchens, living rooms, storerooms, craft production areas, and open patios. In addition to architecture, we uncovered many interesting artifacts including grinding stones, utilitarian and fineware ceramics, figurines, and organic remains.
